Downtown Escanaba Business Association

DEBA is a group of individuals who have a vested interest in the downtown. The individuals vary in backgrounds. Some are employees of various media downtown such as print and radio. Other individuals hold positions such as business owners, the Chamber Director, the head of the Convention & Visitors Bureau, and people who want to see success in the downtown. The group focuses on promoting the downtown through activities or other advertising.  Anyone is welcome to join.

As the DDA transitions into the new Main Street Program, the DEBA group will become the basis for the Promotion Committee. A description of the Promotion Committee is given below. If you are interested in being part of this committee or any of the other three committees, you can call the DDA office at 906-789-8696 and express your interest to Director Good.

Promotion - Marketing the downtown's unique characteristics to residents, visitors, and investors. Developing a positive promotional strategy through advertising, retail activities, special events, and marketing campaigns.
